Visiting Mayan Ruins
James Monaco
This wonderful archeological site is called Kohunlich. This per-Columbian Maya civilization is found in Mexico on the Yucatan Peninsula. This site covers 21 acres and I think I walked most of it, icluding the ball court, temples, market and living areas. But I really couldn’t have, because only a small portion of the location has been excavated. I feel absolutely privileged to see this amazing place.
The steps are barely excavated from the forest at Kohunlich
Could some of these faces end up on one of my bone carvings?
